HBG® Blood Counting chambers, Imp. Neubauer. Supplier: HBG®
Description: These counting chambers are designed for counting leucocytes and erythrocytes.

The post HBG® BLOOD COUNTING CHAMBER BRIGHTLINE appeared first on MxRady.

]]>
HBG® Blood counting chamber is a precision measuring instrument made of special optical glass. It is used to count cells or other particles in suspensions under a microscope. Counting chambers are mainly used for blood analysis (counting leucocytes, erythrocytes, and thrombocytes) and to count cells of liquor. A device counting chamber used for determining the number of cells per unit volume of a suspension is called a counting chamber. The most widely used type of chamber is called a hemocytometer, since it was originally designed for performing blood cell counts, A Neubauer counting chamber is used to count cells in biological fluid by observing them, through microscope, on a calibrated grid, the exact dimensions of which are known. A simple calculation provides the number of cells per ml (or another volume unit). Proper Blood Counting Chamber (Hemocytometer) provides absolute measuring and counting accuracy using the improved double Neubauer ruling.

Features and Benefits:-

 • HBG® counting chambers are precision measuring instruments, used to determine the number of particles per volume unit of a suspension.
 • Same ruling as improved Neubauer, but with rhodium coated chamber bottom.
 • Rulings are engraved into the rhodium layer and appear bright under normal microscope settings.
 • By altering the contrast, the microscope image can be reversed, so that the rulings appear brighter or darker, as required.

Normally, red blood cells settle relatively slowly. A faster-than-normal rate may indicate inflammation in the body. Inflammation is part of your immune response system. It can be a reaction to an infection or injury. Inflammation may also be a sign of a chronic disease, an immune disorder, or other medical condition.

An Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate (ESR) is a test for finding out presence of inflammation or infections in the body. Disposable Polymed ESR Pipette: Made of Optically clear Polystyrene material. Uniformly graduated from 0-180mm. ESR tubes measure the rate at which red blood cells settle out of plasma. Westergren sedimentation rate tubes may be used for the standard procedure, by drawing blood in a liquid sodium citrate vacuum tube, or the modified procedure, using a saline-diluted EDTA vacuum tube.

HBG® Haemocytometer Set

The HBG® hemocytometer is a counting-chamber device originally designed and usually used for counting blood cells, hemocytometer was invented by Louis-Charles Malassez and consists of a thick glass microscope slide with a rectangular indentation that creates a precision volume chamber.

This instrument is used for visual counting of the number of cells in a Blood sample or other fluid under a microscope. The device is carefully crafted so that the area bounded by the lines is known, and the depth of the chamber is also known. By observing a defined area of the grid, it is, therefore, possible to count the number of cells or particles in a specific volume of fluid and thereby calculate the concentration of cells in the fluid overall. A well-used type of hemocytometer is the Neubauer counting chamber. Other types of hemocytometers with different rulings are in use for different applications. Fuchs-Rosenthal rulings, commonly used for spinal fluid counting, Howard Mold rulings used for mold on food and food packaging products, McMaster Egg Slide ruling used for counting microbial eggs in fecal material, Nageotte Chamber ruling for counting low levels of white cells in white cell-reduced platelet components, Palmer Nanoplankton ruling for counting smaller plankters. Petroff-Hausser counter using Improved Neubauer rulings is used for bacteria & sperm counts & is offered with varying chamber depths. The Sedgwick-Rafter Cell ruling in a hemocytometer is primarily designed for use in the microscopy of drinking water.

The counting chamber should be filled by capillary action after the chamber lid (special cover-slip with certified thickness and flatness) has been put in place. This avoids the risk that the cells could sediment/stick to the glass or some volume to evaporate before the cover-slip is placed on top and resulting in an overestimation of the cell concentration. Sedimentation is less of a problem with bacteria but evaporation, more prevalent in low-humidity air-conditioned laboratories, still has to be minimized.

HBG® Hemocytometer or Neubauer chamber

In a simple counting chamber, the central area is where the cell counts are performed. The chamber has three parts:

 1. The central part, where the counting grid has been set on the glass, and (2) double chambers/two counting areas that can be loaded independently.
 2. Measuring Spore Concentration with Hemocytometer. Mix spore solution well.
 3. Add 10 µl of spore solution to each side of the hemacytometer. Count the number of spores in zones A, B, C, D, and Eon on both sides of the hemacytometer, record them, and calculate the average of the two sides.
For estimating particles in suspension; this slide is designed for routine counts of red cells and white cells in blood but can also be used for counting bacteria or yeast cells.
The complete set includes one counting chamber, two 0.5mm cover glasses, one red cell pipette, one white blood cell pipette, tubing, mouthpieces and carrying case. A counting chamber is a precision measuring instrument made of special optical glass. It is used to count cells or other particles in suspensions under a microscope. Counting chambers are mainly used for blood analysis (counting leucocytes, erythrocytes, and thrombocytes) and to count cells of liquor. Counting chambers are also used, however, to count bacteria and fungus spores.

HBG® Sahli Haemometer are used fo the determination of blood’s content of haemoglobin. HBG sahli Haemometer is a laboratory instrumentof detremine haemoglobin levels in the blood based on color units (Colorimetric). The method used is to compare the color of the blood sample with a standard red color. The color of the blood sample is obtained by seprating globin from hamoglobin by the addition of HCL (Hydrocloric Acid) to produce hematin acid whose color is maesured by colorimetry. Haemometer is equipped with two non fading glass colour comparator. It is used for measuring Hemoglobin concentration in Blood by Sahli’s method.
